About Matt
The first time I ever worked a football game was at University Stadium on the campus of Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU) in Waterloo, Canada. It was the fall of 2018. I remember it well because that was the day I realized I wanted to establish a career in the sports industry. Simply, there is nothing better than having the stadium as your office. I worked for two years in the athletic department at WLU as the communications assistant while simultaneously earning my bachelor’s degree in communication studies. One year after graduating, I decided to move to California because of the reputation of the USF sport management program. In my first year, I was fortunate to get internships at Wasserman, the Big West Conference, World TeamTennis and the Acura Grind Prix of Long Beach. Currently, I work at San Jose State University as the Lawrence Fan Media Relations Intern.
